This year heralds the first of our “Reserve” releases. Since 2018, we have held back a single barrel of our core wines, our Painter of Light chardonnay, as well as our Nightjar pinot noir. These single barrels have had 2 years extra ageing to demonstrate the quality we can achieve with English pinor noir and chardonnay. Less than 300 bottles of each wine are produced.

The 2018 Nightjar reserve pinot noir is made from a single barrel using grapes sourced from Clayhill Vineyard in Essex. The wine is matured for a total of 36 months prior to release, 24 in barrel and 12 in bottle, gaining texture and complexity allowing the potential of this wine to shine through. The pinot noir has an essence of refinement that shows the longer term ageing potential of our wines.
