“Blackbook has made another humdinger of a pinot noir, the silky, strawberry-ripe 2020 I'd Rather be a Rebel Rosé”- Jane MacQuitty, The Times, Aug. 2023

Our rosé is made from pinot noir grapes sourced from Clayhill Vineyard in nearby Essex. The grapes are hand-picked into small crates then travel the short distance to our winery in Battersea. After a short cold soak, the grapes are pressed and fermented in old French oak. The wine spends a further 8 months on lees in tank and barrel and 1 year in bottle prior to release. The result is an expressive and textured rosé with elements of strawberries and cream and ripe red cherry.
